Getting Involved

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED ?

  •  If your school doesn't have a School Council then approach your Headteacher and ask them if you could set one up. A school council can help to encourage students to speak up about any ideas that they may have.If a student has been bullied then this is a great way to buld up confidence. If you need any help with asking then just ask your Headteacher to go on to my website and e-mail me !

  • Peer Support. This is a system which is set up for pupils to come and talk to you and then you listen to their problems. Nobody is told unless it is something like home abuse or physical abuse to you or a friend or a family member. If not then do the same and approach your Headteacher and ask them about it. The same thing, if you are stuck on asking then just get them to e-mail me and I will try and help as much as I can.

  • Add any advice that you can give to people who added their experiences to the 'Your Experiences' page. By helping others you are not only helping them but yourself as well. If you can add any advice then this would be great as others can learn by your advice too.

  • As it is Anti Bullying Week in November find what your school has got planned to help raise awareness. If you have an idea then go to your school council or Headteacher and tell them about it. This years theme is 'Cyberbullying' so why not log onto Abs-Kids or ask your teachers to do an assembly on the work it does.
